Summertime - Take Time To Smell The Roses
I AM SO GRATEFUL for the time to smell the roses.Lying in a hammock between two shade treesOr wandering through a multicolodred rose garden,Sitting quietly and communing with natureBeholding something beautiful in each person I meet.
I AM SO GRATEFUL for a walk with no destination.A choice pair of tennis shoes cushions my feet,Pretty plantings in the neighborhood catch my eye,A leisurely chat provides a welcome, short break,And a nonchalant jogger says, "Have a nice day."
I AM SO GRATEFUL for the sounds of summer.A bicyle beeps a warning from behind,A hard hit baseball implants a resounding whack,Lawn mowers drone while cutting the grass,And booming fireworks light up the night sky.
I AM SO GRATEFUL for the lazy, hazy days of summer. The click of croquet balls rebound across manicured turf,The cool tingle of a root beer float satisfies a deep thirst,Straw bonnets tug against their ribbons on a breezy day,And barbershop quartets harmonize in the good old summertime.
I AM SO GRATEFUL for a stroll through the park.Skateboards hum as they roll down the sidewalk,Live music fills the air at an outdoor concert,Shrieks erupt when a Little Leaguer hits his first home run,And hands clap in unison to the beat of the band.
I AM SO GRATEFUL for relaxing under an oak tree.A bird's sweet song murmurs in my ears,Children's laughter drifts through the air,Before dozing off for an afternoon siestaI think to myself, "It's a wonderful world."

Aftermath of a Child?s Near Death Experience
An 18 month-old girl lay dying of diphtheria in January of 1944. It was before the widespread use of antibiotics. In fact, the antibiotics were reserved for the troops fighting in World War II. That's where the little girl's father was...on Iwo Jima.

The 5 Fortunes Within
What could be nearer to us than our own selves. What could be a greater fortune to discover than our own love. When you can accept yourself just as you are, with all your warts and wrinkles, with all those extra tucks of fat, with all those scars and blemishes, with all your broken promises and misadventures, then, and only then, can you begin to appreciate your own power, beauty, integrity, intelligence, and competence.

My Passion, My Life
Every morning I excitedly get out of bed. Just a few minutes of goals and visions for the day swirl in my head. No lingering for me, no alarm, no wishful notes too. Just me in my night gown with no hat.
Those who pride themselves on their honesty should also concern themselves with this principle: The effectiveness of honesty depends on a person's willingness to face the truth, which may conflict with this person's desires and provoke denial.
Why You Are Special and Why Does It Matter
Why 'you are special'?
Super Mom, Wonder Woman, Energizer Mommy or Just Mom
Have you ever sat down to watch the evening news and flashes a News Report about a woman that died with 100 cats, house full of trash and stacks of newspapers to fill 100 dump trucks? In my single days, I use to live by a lady like this. The entire neighborhood would talk about her but none of us ever went over there to see if she needed anything or if I could help her clean her house. We just talked about how could she let her house go that way.

Inspired Intuition - Following Your Inner Voice
"Some people call the still, small voice insight or intuition? Our insight is a gift from God, not to be taken lightly or for granted... If we acknowledge that the voice doesn't just pop up in our mind like some haphazard jack-in-the-box, that it is available to us always, we have the most important source of assistance in building our dreams. We can turn random intuition into regular inspired insight." From Building Your Field of Dreams by Mary Manin Morrissey
Dolphin Figurines evoke images of wild dolphins: How Do Dolphins Communicate?
Researchers are seeking to identify how dolphins communicate. Unfortunately it is like ancient history, once we can decipher the basic 'words' we think we have the message. However, ancient civilizations left us artifacts, buildings, religious and other rituals of life to enable us to deduce more meaning from what was written.
