Is Transformation Worth the Effort?
Soaring 700 feet above the forest floor is a granite dome two miles long and a mile wide. Stone Mountain, 16 miles east of Atlanta, Georgia, was the ideal site for a memorial to General Robert E. Lee.
In 1915 the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) obtained a deed from the owners of the mountain, accepting their proviso that the work be completed by 1928. They hired sculptor Gutzon Borglum, who began cutting in 1923. After a dispute with the sponsors, Borglum abandoned the project to work on Mount Rushmore.
Although another sculptor, Augustus Lukeman, resumed the task in 1925, he was unable to finish by the 1928 deadline, and the original owners reclaimed the mountain, abruptly stoppingthe project. Only in 1958 did the Georgia state legislature create a memorial association to buy the mountain.
Sculptor Walter Kirtland Hancock resumed the work in 1963, completing it in 1970. Hancock's epic sculpture depicts GeneralRobert E. Lee, Lieutenant General Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson, and Confederate President Jefferson Davis, all riding majestic horses. The figures are so colossal that at the dedication 30 men were able to stand on Lee's shoulder.
God wanted the likeness of His Son to be spectacular and to remain beyond the day when the figures on Stone Mountain will have eroded to a pile of gravel. His design was conceived in eternity and initiated at Calvary, but to this day the carving continues in your heart and mine (Rom. 8:28-30). The project will be completed if we do not call a halt to it (1 John 3:1-3).
What a tragedy it would be, what a waste of centuries of sacrifice and effort, if the divine Sculptor had to abandon His work!
Just after visiting Stone Mountain, I found myself viewing it again from the air, because the site is below a holding pattern for the Atlanta airport. The beauty of the final sculpture more than justifies the years of struggle and toil required to complete it. So will ours.

Night of the Living Dead
For many people, life has become as dull and despairing as death. We suffer from spiritual inertia. We have allowed ourselves to be paralyzed by shallow beliefs and shackled by the strong chains of discouragement. We have permitted the sacred and holy to be eclipsed by the secular and profane. Hearts that were once gay have suddenly become heavy. Men who were once optimistic have become pessimistic. Many who were once willing to greet tomorrow with a cheer, now regard the future with nervous anxiety.

The Spectacular You
I recently received a letter addressed to Spectacular Rachelle Lee. At first I thought it was a joke. Who would write such a thing? I then thought maybe it was a mistake. Whatever it was, I knew it did not feel comfortable. It turned out to be an advertisement, for what I am not even sure. What I am sure of is that the way it was addressed caught my attention, and I realized how difficult it can be to own just how spectacular I am.

Random Thoughts on Living Your Best Life
More things I've noticed along the way:
Thoughts on Loving
Loving. It seems like such a simple concept. But those who have mastered the act of loving are close to non existent. I'm not so much talking about the love between a husband and a wife, a father and a son, or the love between two friends?I'm talking about love in a more general sense. The love that isn't concerned with what it will get in return, for there can be no expectations with this type of love. I'm talking about the love of mankind, the love of people?merely because they are God's, and they deserve to be acknowledged in such a way. The love that I believe Jesus possessed as he walked from town to town, meeting strangers, touching lepers, noticing the unnoticed.

What Footsie Taught Us!
We have just inherited a rag, tag and bobtail of a dog called 'Footsie'. She was found three weeks ago wandering around outside a local restaurant for a couple of days looking for food. Paula, a woman who takes responsibility for stray animals in this part of the island, took her in and started to look after her. She soon found that, Footsie has such a quiet, loving nature but is definitely not a 'looker'. She wouldn't win any awards at Crufts. Pure white coat, almost albino type eyes but a protruding bottom set of teeth which means she always has the canine tooth on the left and several of her other teeth showing. But, as we said, a lovely temperament. Very playful, loving and peaceful.
Escape into Reality and Find Love

Universal Thought System Language Keywords
Before we are able to use the Universal Thought System in a positive expansive manner, we must learn to use certain words in our language more effectively. The prime characteristic of the Universal Thought System is its consistency. It may not be used to manipulate. It may not be used to gain an advantage. It treats everyone equally. It eliminates the negative side of opposites. Why is this Universal Language so critical to our progress? In our thoughts and actions, we either seek idols or we seek truth. When we find the truth all our answers are provided. Truth contains all answers to every problem. Truth has always existed and will always exist. Our beliefs and feelings color our truth. They act as filters between our truth and our illusions.
Resistance to Change
All of us are resistant to change, whether it's in using a different tool, a technique a choice in partners, or lifestyle.
Turning Your Life Over To God and Trusting Him To Lead You Is Like . . . . .
. . . . . riding a roller coaster for the very first time. You've heard things about roller coaster rides, but what you heard depended on who was doing the telling. From some people (usually kids, or chronological adults who remained kids at heart and kept their iron stomachs) you heard glorious stories about the thrilling climbs and descents, about the twists and turns and maybe even roll-overs. Their words and facial expressions and body language were filled with exhilaration and excitement. Even if they didn't tell you outright, you just knew from listening to them that they would jump at the chance to do it again and again and again. From other people, such as older folks, the faint-at-heart, etc., you heard about wrenched backs, whiplash, and the inevitable nausea.
Experiences in My Life Prompted Me to Never Give Up

But you can over come and adapt and achieve anything you want in life. I did, let me tell you a real story from top of the world to the bottom and back on top again. It is a true story, one I will never forget. I hope to give you some inspiration today if you will allow me too.
You Can Quickly And Easily Solve Your Problems
