Are You Afraid of Change?
Change, no matter how you cut it, can certainly be adaunting task. There are so many ways to change; yourimage, attitude, environment, perceptions, addictions, andhow you treat others.
However, let's explore the reasons for change. Firstly, aspects in your life that negatively affect self progression, whether put upon yourself or not, scream loudest to bechanged.
Many times the guarded vaults inside ourselves mask thisneed for change, due to false pride, or the meremisperception of how change can improve our quality oflife. As a result, a vicious cycle of negativity will hover ifthese changes fail to be made.
So then, how do we know when to prioritize a needfulchange so that it can be properly made?
No matter how blind one can get, signs from friends andfamily, or negative reactions to your conduct by others candefinitely be the most telling, and that's where you wouldstart.
This recognition is a crucial beginning point, because if youcan't recognize and then admit, then you will always be indenial of your infractions.
For example: If you are a drug addict or any type of addictfor that matter, the only way you are going to get clean ofthat chemical is not by force from the state or your family, but from within.
This introspection, though through a haze of chemicals ordenial is tough, cannot be overstated in its importance. Although, when done with logic and perspective, it can beutterly empowering.
How does someone muster up enough will to make acritical change?
Despite what everyone else will think, whether bad orgood; knowing yourself through introspection is indeed thebest route with which to take, and will nullify all thoseexternal forces.
This, in part, is where your power to make that change willbe generated. Instead of worrying how others will perceiveyou in your plights, simply put, ...don't!
Trusting yourself above everything else is fundamentallyhow change can start to be implemented. In addition, whena change for the better has been made, subsequent changescan and will be made more smoothly with less internalconflict.
Understanding the power of your own mind and how it canheal itself when given a chance is what I hope people cantake from this article.
You do not have to be afraid of change!
Positive changes in life should always be sought out, anddispelling your fears through self trust can arguably becomeyour best ally in making your next change.

To every life, there is a purpose; a purpose of will and a purpose of choice. A choice to make the right or wrong decisions and the will to act on the choices made.
Adages for the New Age
The old familiar adages just don't do it for me any more. For instance, consider "the early bird gets the worm." In this age of freelancing, premature ejaculation and peaking too early in one's career (by age 24) a more appropriate adage might be "The early bird dies earlier."
A Childs Plight
In the streets of Bogotį, a child - named Simon* - wanders amidst the crowd. He is a lonely soul, lost in the multitude, forgotten by humanity, rejected by his society.
All Is Going Well?
The true test in life does not occur when all is going well. The true test takes place when we are faced with challenges. Some people have a positive attitude towards life only when all is well. However, when the going gets tough, their attitude changes instantly, and they become very negative or are consumed with self pity.
Lessons Learned Hard
Many of us seek consolation in the words of Frank Sinatra, "I did it my way." I say many of us because I feel this trap has snared more than just me. Oh, it is a trap, alright, a way to defend our defiance, combat accountability, and excuse our own stupidity.
Safety ? Are You OK?
Safety is an interesting concept. When we think of safety we almost intuitively think of its opposite, danger. Some people say that "our thoughts create our reality." I would differ with that in one important way. I would say our thoughts create our perception of reality or our interpretation of reality. That is not the same thing, but it is at least as important. Byron Katie says "Reality is kinder than our thinking."
The Essence Of Freedom
Life is too hard and too risky in the eyes of many. By contrast, others are such proponents of a virile existence, demanding great courage and giving great pride, that they are ready to leave the coziness of their home to scale Mount Everest and breast the elements for the sheer joy of conquering the summit. Whatever the perspective, the nature of things remains unchanged. There are rules, necessities and duties, and limits, possibilities and impossibilities. Until doom, one can accept them and make the best of them, much to one's pleasure and honor, or one can do the opposite and suffer the consequences. The choice between these two options is the very essence of freedom. Personally, I have no use for the second option: a self-inflicted misery that is without the slightest doubt a pitiable way of life.
Israel Is My Son
"And thou shalt say unto Pharoah, Thus saith the Lord, "Israel is my son, even my first-born. And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me;and if thou refuse to let him go, behold I will slay thy son, even thy first born(Exodus 4.22)."

Everyone Has Been Hurt...Part 2
Dont Die With Your Dreams Still Inside You
I write and talk a lot about dreams. Primarily because I know we serve an awesome and amazing God, who gave us dreams for an awesome and amazing purpose. We all have a dream to do something great, go somewhere incredible, achieve the unachievable, beat the unbeatable or meet the "unmeetable." Unfortunately, more often than not, most dreams remain unrealized; silenced by fear and doubt. What's needed is a renaissance to recapture the spirit and belief we once had as children. We need to remind ourselves in all that we desire to be, have and do... "I can, if I believe I can." My aim is to inspire as many people as possible to passionately pursue and do their dreams. Revitalize your dreams. Start today. Don't just dream; dream BIG dreams! Put them in your heart, then put them on the wall, refrigerator, mirror ... wherever you'll see them often. Remind yourself you are more than worthy of everything your heart ever imagined. Believe, then diligently commit to a plan to achieve.Resolve to live a life that ends the way you want it to; and don't you dare, I say don't you dare... die with your dreams still inside you.

Using Appreciation to Make a Difference
When in 1996 a local Secondary School opened, the staff decided to create a tradition to prepare Christmas Hampers for those in need. Each advisory class (of around 18 students G9-12) would adopt a family to help out. The students only know how many in the family, ages of the children, and whether they have any food allergies. Every year, 65 ?70 hampers are delivered to families. Inside each hamper is a note from the school principal wishing the family a Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy new year. It explains how the hamper was put together by the students and adds (I quote) " We hope that this hamper will bring you joy at this special time of year as it was put together with much love and care"
Just Let ?Em Go!
I remember when I was just a little guy probably about 4 or 5 years old, I was fascinated by snakes. Not any particular type of snake ? just snakes in general. I remember being really curious about how they could move around so easily without any legs or feet. I remember liking the colors on the garter snakes that slithered through our Nebraska summer garden.

Begin With the End In Mind - Tips to Make Your Life More Meaningful
What would you change if you knew you would be dead in 1 day? Would you spend more time at work, pouring over budget figures, and trying to figure out how you were going to make this quarter's numbers? Would you read just 1 more e-mail from a complaining co-worker? Would you check your voicemail one last time? What would your obituary say about your life?
