Work vs Play: Which is the Better Way to Make Big Money?
If you want to make big money, you have to play not to work.
"What do you mean by that?" You ask.
I attended a workshop last weekend and the speaker said if you are serious in making big money, you've got to play, not work.
He further explained that if you work, you can only make small money. That's what most people end up with. Making small money by working.
This point is best illustrated by studying the Chinese character for play. The character has two parts: one consists of the character "King" and the other is "Money".
By combining these two parts, it becomes "King of Money." And in turn, "King of Money" forms the word "Play."
Hence, play is the "King of Money."
That's the interesting part about Chinese characters. The wisdom in the character "Play" is if you want to make big money, you must be able to enjoy the process of wealth creation.
If you don't enjoy the process and you treat the process as another piece of work, you can't make a lot of money.
You must truly enjoy playing the game of wealth creation. By playing, you feel more energetic, full of passion, and young at heart.
Remember, life is meant to be enjoyed and there is no room for unhappy moments. Enjoy the process and achieve your goals of financial success, just like another round of game.
I really thank the speaker for pointing out such a wonderful Chinese character. That actually reminds me the story in the book "The Fish" if you happen to read the book.

What to Look Out For:
Franchising Companies Need New Franchisee Checklists
When franchise companies are moving fast in the market place they must pay attention to the details. If a franchisor fails to give the required items as outlined in the franchise agreement to the franchisees on the prescribed timeline they risk legal issues and regulatory issues. In addition even if they do provide the items on time, there is a chance later that a franchisee may claim that something was not provided and they will use this to break the franchise agreement, sue or file a complaint with regulatory bodies at the state level or even the FTC, Federal Trade Commission. But if you keep proper records and have checklists and monitor dates and deliveries you can win a law suit or force a regulatory agency to backtrack.
Focus is the Key to a Successful Startup
The definition of a startup means you have very few resources to employ and little time to get them to do something valuable. The clock is always ticking, and the money (if you even have any) is running out by the day. With so little to leverage, you need to make sure that the focus of your company's product offer is as razor sharp as possible.

The Use of Common Stock in Venture Capital Transactions
When raising capital for a business venture, a company can either raise debt capital, equity capital or a combination of the two. Debt capital is money loaned to the company at an agreed interest rate for a fixed time period. Conversely, equity capital is money invested by owners (shareholders) for use in business operations that need not be repaid. Combinations include convertible securities which may be debt that can be converted into equity at some point in the future.
Abstract Business Marketing Strategy for the Entrepreneur
If you look at those Corporations in franchising today you see the great companies that use these systems to move markets and deliver products and services to America. Franchising is obviously a power play in the marketing strategy game book. General Motors uses the franchise system or special teams, dealerships, to move their products in each market. Now take your mind to the "Family and friends Program" in Telecom, that is still being done by all those selling mobile communications. Think of some of the ways hyper type marketing has been done in so many areas and market sectors with so many different niches or market segments. Think of the new term appropriately named as viral marketing thru the use of ezines, forwarding emails and adhoc networks of friends and acquaintances within one's email box. Look at the organic evolution of a real virus and how it gets what it needs within your body; virus vector modeling is fascinating as it is so close to grass roots political campaigns, referral marketing or Internet link exchanges.

Learn how to Compress Time
In the popular 1980's movie "Dune," man learned that by "folding space" the distance between two points shortened and he could cover those distances faster. Around 1995, we found a substance that could bend time in the business community -- it was called Venture Capital. With enough of it, we could compress the evolution of a startup company from a few decades to a few years. Companies like Amazon, eBay and most recently Google showed us that billion dollar companies could be built in years, not decades.
